iPhoneInvites have been sent out to the media for this exclusive event to be held on Thursday, March 6 at 10 a.m. on the Apple campus in Cupertino.

Announced in October of last year, the SDK was expected to be unveiled Tuesday just gone, but then - what’s a week after all?

The SDK would mean native applications could be written without “jailbreaking” the phone which has been the only way really so far to add apps.

Perhaps even more interesting is the part about “new enterprise features.” Could this be Exchange server support or something up that ally?

This follows on from Apple’s 1.1.4 firmware update for the iPhone and iPod a few days ago.
