Lightmate - Creature Comforts

Do you feel lonely in bed?

Would you feel better if you had a comfy, snuggly, alien fluff monster to cuddle up to?

Well, artist Francesca Lanzavecchia presents “LightMates”

These “soft anthropomorphic pillows and warming lamps” are supposed to keep you company and all snuggled up at night.

They come in different sizes, depending on how much anthropomorphic love you need.

Personally anything above the smaller ones gives me the creeps and may present nightmares of flesh-eating candfloss creatures…………

Can’t You Smell What Time It is?!?

An odd statement, true.

But how about being roused by the smell of fresh bread, or filtered coffee instead of the shrill beep of an alarm clock?

The Osim Nioi is silent but whafts a choice of fragrances at the desired time instead.

The concept design by designer Alfie Lake, is intended to give you the best night’s sleep possible and a gentle, positive start to the day.

It can emit a subtle lavender or rose fragrance in the night, to induce sweet dreams while you sleep, and a more stirring smell, like baking bread, in the morning when it’s time to wake.

Alarmed By Humiliation - Tyrant Clock

Tyrant Alarm ClockThere are 2 things that are a constant.

  1. We very rarely want to get up at a set time in the morning
  2. We fear being embarrassed

To this end the Tyrant Alarm Clock brings both of these facts together for its own devilish purpose.

For every three minutes that the alarm sounds, the Tyrant Clock, designed by the evil genius Alice Wang, will call any phone number saved on your mobile at random.

This will no doubt include ex’s, bosses, friends and random people who have insisted you take their number when you met them in some dive of a bar.

So, goodbye drunk dialing and hello sleep dialing…………then trying to face the world in the morning!
