Jedi Force Trainer - Buy It and Gain Mind Control

jedi-force-trainerThis has a big promise - possibly enough to get a variety of Star Wars and X-Men followers adding this to their wish list.

Although the thought of being able to train your mind to acheive telekinesis in a Prof Xavier/Jedi fashion is pretty special.

What is actually is is a simplified EEG (Electroencephalography - a way to measure your brain sparks) based game  that has a license to use the Star Wars name.

Whilst the kids will be believing that they are able to use the Force, what they are actually doing is learning to activate one part of their brain.

Which is still pretty good control I reckon.

This Force Trainer, priced at $90-$100, hooks up to your head via wireless headset and transmits your reading to the toy, which blows air and moves the ball up the chute.

Imagine Nintendo’s Brain Training but with a white ball and a clear tube.

Belfast College First in UK To Offer Jedi Course

Written by Jay Garrett on September 15, 2008 in: General Interest, News, Social Networking | Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

Not really a gadget or technology but how could I resist posting this latest Star Wars related news?

Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland is offering a really real course in the Jedi way!

Read on for more details if you don’t believe me.

According to its publicity material, the course, Feel the Force: How to Train in the Jedi Way, teaches the real-life psychological techniques behind Jedi mind tricks.

It also claims to examine the wider issues behind the Star Wars universe, like balance, destiny, dualism, fatherhood and fascism.

The university says it hopes to attract young Star Wars fans and introduce them to education through open learning………so free iPods aren’t working then?

No prior qualifications are required and you have to provide your own lightsaber.

Sounds like a giggle to me and probably a more relevant qualification than anything gained at Art College!

Styrofoam Is Where The Heart Is

Styrofoam homes.

Now, that’s not bringing to me visions of a safe habitiat for me and mine.

Japan Dome House Co., Ltd. thinks they’re the future!

Constructed of 7-inch-thick 100% expanded polystyrene foam modules, the company says that they don’t have the maintenance problems of wood or metal structures, and they are “highly resistant” to earthquakes, fires, and typhoons.

Gotta admit tho; there’s a definite Mos Eisley vibe about the 480 domes at Aso Farm Land resort village in Kyushu.

They do, however, look quite comfy and roomy inside :0)

Star Wars comes to the iPhone - Use The Force!

THQ Wireless has released a set of screenshots showing what Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is going to look like on Apple’s 3Gesus iPhone.

Apparently the game will utilise the touch screen to activate force powers, such as drawing a lightning bolt to activate force lightning.

It’s looking pretty cool to me and a definite step up from the PhoneSaber for all of us would-be Jedi’s!

There’s more pics and stuff to be found at Kotaku.
